Health services hit in MP
Bhopal, July 7 (UNI) Health services were affected due to a strike by junior doctors -- of Madhya Pradesh's medical colleges -- who were protesting against the dismissal of AIIMS Director P Venugopal.
At Indore, services were anything but smooth at the Maharaja Yashwant Rao Hospital affiliated to the Mahatma Gandhi Medical College. Medical treatment came to a standstill at the OPD but the hospital administration claimed that senior physicians' help was being sought for emergency cases. Token strikes were observed at other medical colleges.
In Gwalior, junior medicos at the Gajra Raja Medical College observed a token strike. The situation was similar at Bhopal, Jabalpur and Rewa.
