Godavari level recedes

Rajahmundry, Jul 7 (UNI) Water level of River Godavari at Bhadrachalam had started receding, official sources today said.

The level was steady at 46.3 feet from last evening to 0100 hrs.

It then came down to 43.9 feet by 0900 hrs this morning, sources told UNI.

Water level at Dowleswaram Barrage, near here, was being maintained at 11.70 ft and all the 175 crest gates lifted releasing 9.60 lakh cusecs of water into sea at 0900 hrs.
