GAIL, SAIL bag Scope Awards

New Delhi, July 7 (UNI) GAIL Ltd CMD Proshanto Banerjee today won the Scope Award for Excellence and Outstanding Contribution to the Public Sector Management-Individual Category for the year 2004-05.

SAIL bagged the Gold Trophy in the Institutional Category while Mishra Dhatu Nigam Ltd was awarded the Silver Trophy in the special Institutional (Turnaround) Category.

Scope Director General Dr S M Dewan announced the winners of the ''Scope Meritorious Awards in Specialized Fields'' for the year 2004-05.

The Scope Meritorious Awards in Specialised Fields have been instituted for the first time for in order to recognise significant achievements of public enterprises and to encourage the motivate them to achieve higher goals of excellence.
