Four accused surrender in the flood relief scam

Patna, July 7 (UNI) Four accused, including the father of the kingpin of the multi crore rupee flood relief scam, today surrendered before the special court here and were later on released on bail.

During the day, all the four accused including Bhagwan Lal Jha, father of the kingpin Santosh Jha and three businessman Ajay Saraogi, Ritesh Aggarwal and Amit Jalan surrendered before the special Vigilance Judge (in charge) Jayant Kumar Sen with a prayer of regular bail.

After hearing both sides, the designated judge released all the four accused on bail in the light of anticipatory bail granted to them by Patna High Court.

According to the charges, more than Rs 13 crore were siphoned meant for flood relief work in north Bihar in 2004.
