Kolkata, Jul 7 (UNI) Left Front's youth organisation Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) today organised ten-minute chakka jam programme throughout the state to protest the prices hike of essentials.

The Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government at the Centre was deviating from the Common Minimum Programme (CMP), he alleged and said prices were going up due to the Centre's "wrong" policy, DYFI state secretary Asitanga Gangopadhyay said.

He said later they would go for more concerted movement in protest against the hike.
