CPI adopts resolutions on AIIMS and NALCO
Hyderabad, July 7 (UNI) Communist Party of India (CPI) National Council today expressed concern at the ''unfortunate developments'' at the AIIMS following the sacking of its Director Dr P Venugopal', CPI National Council Secretary Shamim Faizi said today.
Talking to newspersons on the sidelines of the four-day CPI National Council meet here, he said the Council urged the Government to find an amicable solution and ensure medical services to those needing in the AIIMS.
Congratulating the workers of NALCO and NLC for their relentless struggle against the Government's decision to disinvest 10-15 per cent shares in these profit making PSUs, he said the Council has adopted a resolution against the privatisation of NALCO and NLC.
Mr Faizi said the Council had expressed serious concern with the UPA Government's attempts to push forward privatisation of profit making PSUs, which was contrary to the commitments made in the Common Minimum Programme (CMP).
