Kolkata, Jul 07 (UNI) Calcutta High Court today asked Kalighat Temple authorities to keep accounts of the donations for the temple and file a report stating whether they used a Central grant of Rs five crores for the upkeep of the temple.

A two-judge bench presided by Chief Justice V.S.Sirpurkar also directed the temple authorities to appoint people for cleaning the temple round the clock.

The court passed the order on a petition filed by Praladh Goenka.

Mr Goenka alleged misappropriation of funds by the temple authorities, which posed problems to maintain the centuries-old temple.
