Congress continue dharna over BMIC issue: Assembly adjourned
Bangalore, July 7 (UNI) As the opposition Congress in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, demanding a CBI inquiry into the controversial Bangalore-Mysore Infrastructure Corridor (BMIC) project, continued dharna for the second day the Deputy Speaker N Y Gopalakrishna today adjourned the House till Monday.
Congress members led by Dharam Singh trooped into the well of the House as soon it started its business today and demanded the state government to order CBI probe into the award of BMIC project to Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises Limited (NICEL).
Replying to a debate on BMIC project in the Assembly yesterday, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy had announced that government will order a judicial inquiry and file criminal cases against those officials who have erred in finalising the agreement with the private developer.
