Brother of noted builder committed suicide

Mumbai, July 7 (UNI) Dr Navin Hiranandani (72), elder brother of noted builder Niranjan Hiranandani and President of Hyderabad Sind National Colleges Board, committed suicide at his residence last night.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Pratap Digaonkar, who confirmed the news here today, said Dr Navin had gone to bed at around 2200 hrs last night, when his servant went to wake him up this morning, he found Navin lying in a pool of blood. He had cut the vein of his hand.

Mr Digaonkar said no suicide note was left. However, a small chit stating ''Heart Attack, no Publicity'' was found beside him.

Police have registered a case of suicide and further investigations are in progress.
