Asom bandh passes off peacefully

Guwahati, July 7 (UNI) The dawn to dusk Asom bandh called by former BLT militants passed off peacefully affecting the Bodo dominated areas of the state.

The bandh was called to protest the killing of two of their leaders at Langhin on Wednesday by the rival National Democratic Front of Bodoland(NDFB) cadres.

The bandh was total in Kokrajhar, Udalguri and Karbi Anglong districts. The bandh call was supported by the ruling Bodoland Peoples' Progressive Forum(BPPF).
