APSRTC baggs Fuel Efficiency Award

Visakhapatnam, Jul 7 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh State Road Transort Corporation (APSRTC) has bagged the Fuel Efficiency Award for highest kmpl for 2004-05 by achieving 5.44 kmpl of High Speed Diesel, Visakhapatnam Region Regional Manager D Satyanarayan said today.

He said the city division of five depots was operating 1.55 lakh services per day with 554 buses, carrying 4.36 lakh passengers in Visakhapatnam region.

The award would be presented during the 51st Annual Conference of State Transport Undertakings to be held tomorrow at New Delhi.
