6 fishermen rescued by Coast Guard
Visakhapatnam, July 7 (UNI) Indian Coast Guard rescued six fishermen after the missing fishing boat ''MFV Adideva Satyamatha'', was located off the Kalingapattanam coast last night.
Talking to reporters Coast Guard Director General Prasad Rao today said the Fisheries Department and Andhra Pradesh state administration had alerted them regarding the missing boat in the aftermath of the deep depression in north Bay of Bengal.
The boat was handed over to the owner at Bhiminipatnam harbour.
The Coast Guard ship, in coordination with a Dornier aircraft from Kolkata had carried out extensive search for the missing boat.
