15 year RI in Narcotics Case

New Delhi, July 7 (UNI) A Lucknow court has slapped a fine of Rs 10 lakh and ordered 15 years' imprisonment to a small time Uttar Pradesh businessman caught with 9.72 Kg heroin, the CBI said today.

The Special Judge (NDPS Cases), Lucknow, passed the order against the accused Abdul Kavi on Tuesday, an agency spokesman said here.

Kavi was arrested alongwith the contraband from Barabanki in the state on August 22, 1989. The Narcotics branch of CBI had registered the case the same year.
