Wet spell weakens over western MP

Bhopal, July 6 (UNI) A wet spell over western Madhya Pradesh has weakened but scattered rainfall continued across the state.

Cyclonic circulation is in existence over the state's north-western part and consequent downpour is expected.

Earlier, heavy showers lashed the western region due to a low pressure area, a Regional Meteorological Centre spokesperson said today.

Overnight rain was witnessed at several stations in Jabalpur, Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Indore, Ujjain and Gwalior divisions and a few locations in Sagar.

Some places in Gwalior, Chambal and Ujjain divisions are likely to experience thundershowers over the next 24 hours.

The state capital witnessed overcast skies and light drizzle today.
