Water level in river Godavari increases

Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh July 6 (UNI) Water level in river Godavari was steadily increasing, according to Godavari Headworks(Dowleswaram) Executive Engineer K Muralidhar.

Talking to UNI here today, he said the water level at Bhadrachalam stood at 44.4 feet at 0915 hours and the first warning was issued at Bhadrachalam level. Depending upon the position, the outflow from Dowleswaram would be increased further, he added.

Mr Muralidhar said the water level at Dowleswaram barrage stood now at eleven ft.
