Warm, humid conditions prevail in north west
Chandigarh, July 6 (UNI) Warm and humid conditions continued to prevail in the North West region.
Sultry weather prevailed in the Union Territory of Chandigarh. The maximum temperature recorded in the city was 36.2 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal.
In Punjab, Patiala was hot at 37 degrees, while Ludhiana recorded a maximum temperature of 36 degrees. In Amritsar the maximum was 38.2 degrees.
In Haryana, Ambala was recorded 37 degrees, while Karnal was warm at 36 degrees.
The met office has forecast light to moderate rain or thundershowers at many places in Himachal Pradesh and few places in Haryana and Punjab during the next 24 hours.
