'Victory of working class', says Forward Bloc

New Delhi, July 6 (UNI) All India Forward Bloc today said the government's decision to put on hold all disinvestment decisions and proposals was a ''victory of working class''.

Welcoming the decision to stop all the process of disinvestment of profit-making PSUs including NALCO and Neyveli Lignite Corporation, the party said it was bad economics to create an investment fund through disinvestment.

''The Party would like to term it is a victory of working class and its joint struggle,'' Forward Bloc Secretary G Devarajan said.

Mr Devarajan described as ''very unfortunate'' the decision to remove AIIMS Director Dr P Venugopal ''against all democratic traditions''.

The manner in which the Health Ministry is interfering in the day-to-day affairs of an autonomous institution is ''highly condemnable'', he added.
