Two more Amarnath pilgrim die in Kashmir

Srinagar, July 6 (UNI) Two more devotees, including an aged woman, died of cardiac arrest enroute the holy cave shrine today, taking the toll to 23 so far since the commencement of the two-month-long Amarnath pilgrimage on June 11, official sources said.

They said 83-year-old Poornima, a resident of Rajkot in Gujarat, died of heart attack near the holy cave shrine of Amarnath this morning.

The sources said 65-year-old Kanta Bhai Basera, also a resident of Rajkot, died of heart attack at Panjtharni enroute the holy cave shrine from traditional Pahalgam track this morning immediately after he complained of acute chest pain.
