Two foreign-made weapons seized

Mumbai, July 6 (UNI) Two foreign-made pistols were seized from two Uttar Pradesh based persons from Swapna Hotel off S V road in western suburbs.

Acting on a tip-off that two persons, identified as Pavan Kumar Singh (28) and Sunil Srivastav (27), hailing from Uttar Pradesh would be coming to Swapna Hotel in western suburbs to deliver the weapons to a party, the crime branch Unit XI laid a trap, at around 2100 hrs last night, and arrested them.

However, Pavan Kumar Singh's bid to commit suicide by firing at himself was foiled by the police.

The duo was produced before Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate S Y Shisode today who remanded them to police custody till July 20.
