Three air passengers arrested for forgery

Chennai, July 6 (UNI) Airport Police has arrested three passengers, including a woman, for attempting to travel abroad with fabricated and forged travel documents at Anna International airport here yesterday.

Police said Mrs Chitra Athilakhshmi (31) of Vizagapatnam in Andhra Pradesh attempted to board a Colombo bound Air Lanka flight on her enroute to Kuwait by using forged travel documents.

One P Thirunavukkarasu (45) of Tiruvallur had also attempted to fly Colombo in the same flight enroute to London.

K Suriyamoorthy (44) of Pattukkottai In Thanjavur District, who arrived from Kuala Lumpur by Air India flight, had come here on a fabricated passport.

The Immigration authorities, who found that all the three passengers used fabricated and forged travel documents, handed them over to the local police for further action.

They were arrested and remanded to judicial custody, police added.
