Six persons arrested in CGHS scam case
New Delhi, July 6 (UNI) The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested six persons for their involvement in three separate Cooperative Group housing society scams.
The six persons, which included a former assistant registrar with the Registrar of cooperative societies, an architect, a builder, a former senior auditor with the RCS and a lower division clerk and dealing assistant of the RCS, Delhi and a former dealing assistant, were arrested in various cases of conspiracy and cheating, a CBI release said.
Assistant registrar Ramesh Chandra, builder Ramesh Bajaj, senior auditor P K Tharwani and former dealing assistant Rakesh Kumar are under scanner for their conspiracy to revive the Chanakya CGHS case while architect Harinderpal Singh Thapar was instrumental in fraudulent revival of another society.
Lower division clerk R B Chauhan and his dealing assistant were arrested for conspiracy in revival of Technocrats CGHS All the six accused were produced before special judge CBI in Delhi today and remanded to one day police custody.
