Shivalik net profit for FY06 up by 17%

New Delhi, July 6 (UNI) Shivalik Global Ltd (SGL), a textile fabric and apparel company, today posted a 17 per cent increase in its net profit at Rs 7.14 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 as against Rs 6.08 crore the previous year.

The company generated Rs 182.51 crore as net income from operations, 10 per cent higher than the corressponding period last year.

The company had come out with an IPO of Rs 60 crores in the month of March 2006.

SGL has acquired Shyam Tex International for a consideration of Rs 25.69 crores.

The company recently finalised an expansion programme at its existing facilities and had proposed to set up a garment manufacturing unit.
