Sex racket busted, nine arrested

Mumbai, July 6 (UNI) The city police have busted the third internet-operated sex racket by arresting nine people including five commercial sex workers (CSWs) in this connection from the western suburb of Vakola here.

Police today said acting on a tip-off, they laid a trap at the Liberty Guest House in Vakola late last night and nabbed five CSWs, two pimps and the manager of the guest house.

During the interrogation, they revealed that the main accused was staying in suburban Bandra, and was subsequently arrested this morning.

Later in the day, they were all produced before the Metropolitan Magistrate Court at Bandra, which remanded them to police custody till July 13, police added.

Earlier, during the last fortnight, the police had successfully busted two internet-operated sex rackets in the western suburbs.
