Rahul storms into lead at Northern India Jr Golf Championship

New Delhi, July 6 (UNI) Rahul Bakshi fired a three-under 69 to storm into the lead in the senior Category 'A' of the Sunfeast Northern India Junior/Sub Junior Golf Championship here today.

Rahul's tournament tally now stands at 212.

Two-round leader Amanjyot Singh submitted a card of one-under 71 to slip to second place at 213. Kanishk Madan, who was placed fourth overnight shot a four-over 76 to jump to third place at 220.

In Category 'B', Abhijeet Chadha continued to lead the championship with a level par score to tally 220 for the event, with Chikka Rangappa placed second at 236 after a round of 77. K Raghav Bhandari shot a round of 76 to join Rommel Mazumdar in third place at 238.

In Category 'C', Ashbeer Singh Saini, who was placed second overnight, leapfrogged into a two-stroke lead with a penultimate round of 77. His tournament tally now stands at 235.

Close on his heels was Hemendra Chaowdhary, who shot a 76 for a three-day tally of 237. Ankur Chadha was placed third at 240, while overnight leader Tarundeep Chadha slipped to fourth position at 242.

Category 'D' witnessed Vidit Singh open up a two-stroke lead from the talented Master Honey. Vidit carded a second round score of 83 to tally 162, while Honey's aggregate stood at 164.
