Police Reforms Commission set up in J
Srinagar, July 6 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today announced the setting up of a Commission, which would suggest reforms in the police department.
Addressing a news conference here, Mr Azad said the role of police has changed significantly in the present situation.
''The role is not what it used to be some 18 years ago. It has changed significantly over the years,'' he added.
The Chief Minister said the Cabinet, in its meeting this morning, decided to set up a Commission to suggest reforms in the police department.
