Permanent system to be set up for Onam week festival: Minister
Thiruvananthapuram, July 5 (UNI) Kerala Tourism Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan today said the government will consider to set up a permanent system to make the Tourism-Onam week celebrations more attractive.
Addressing a meeting in connection with organising Onam-week celebrations, he said as the state was going ahead in Tourism development, more tourists could be attracted to Kerala, if the Onam-week celebrations were organised with better ways.
Mr Balakrishnan said the Onam celebration programmes could be possible to develop the domestic tourism.
Instead of being treated it an harvest festival, Onam should be considered as one of our future expansion project, he said and suggested that more sponsors should be find out and should be included more programmes based on our tradition.
