Non-bailable warrant against organising secy of Mah NCP unit chief

Akola, July 6 (UNI) A local court today issued a non-bailable warrant against organising secretary of Maharashtra Pradesh unit of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in a cheque bouncing case.

Judical magistrate first class Mr Masand issued a warrant against Rameshwar Pawal for issuing a cheque of Rs one lakh to local newspaper on September 30, 2002 as payment towards an advertisement l in newspaper, which later bounced.

The notice has been issued u/s 138 of the Negotiable Instrument Act after he failed to turn up for the hearing today, like he had done on previous ocassions.
