Myanmar national held for possessing illegal drugs

Aizawl, Jul 6 (UNI) Mizoram Excise deparment's anti-narcotic squad today arrested a Myanmar national and seized from him about 50 grams of heroin and 528 bottles of Myanmarese grape wine at the Electric Veng area here.

Excise officials said the arrested Vanlalzawma (28) had been booked under ND&PS act and is now in the jail.

The heroin was concealed in unused telephone boxes and shoes. The drugs are alleged to have been smuggled from Myanmar, they added.
