Mother's killer given 5-yr jail term

Hamirpur, July 6 (UNI) A court sentenced a man to five years of rigourous imprisonment for killing his mother in the district.

According to the prosecution, Kallu of village Mavri in Sisolar area had beaten his mother to death on January 11, 2005.

He committed the crime in a fit of rage over a trivial issue.

District and sessions judge S K Samadhia convicted him of the murder yesterday and pronounced the jail term.
