Bangalore, July 6 (UNI) Leading IT and Research and Development services company MindTree Consulting has entered into an exclusive partnership with Australia-based Lansa for offering an interactive internet transaction processing framework, InsureIT, for insurance companies.

MindTree would be the sole reseller and implementor in India for InsureIT, an e-commerce and quotation management framework catering to the needs of general and life insurance companies. It provided insurance companies and brokers with a fast, efficient and easy way to build web-enabled insurance products, a company release here said today.

MindTree Senior Vice-President and Head of System i and Mainframe Practice Rajan Narayan said ''most insurance companies in India are using legacy systems for their backend operations. We are bringing to the Indian insurance sector an e-commerce framework for insurance products that is robust, efficient, easy to maintain and more future proof than any other solution available today.'' MindTree Consulting had been closely associated with Lansa both in Australia and the US and was in a unique position to leverage and extend its relationship for the benefit of its customers.

The tie-up was a key milestone for the company as it stepped up focus on the Indian market, the release said.
