Intl. Conference on aging skin and antiaging treatments from July 14
Bangalore, July 6 (UNI) Over 1000 Dermatologists from India and abroad will participate in Cosmecon an International Conference on aging skin and antiaging, organised by Bangalore Dermatological Society to be held from July 13.
Conference Organising Secretary Dr B S Chandrashekhar told newsmen here today that the Conference aimed to promote research in the field, focus on latest methods of treatment and discuss strategies for prevention of aging skin, with relevance to Indian situation. It would also bring to limelight the emergency of Bangalore as a health tourism hub for various dermatology and cosmetic treatments, Education of general practioners and public about various skin treatments are the other objectives.
A separate session would be held to educate general practioners on the subject.
Dr Venkataram, Scientific Committee Chairperson, who was also present, said that several distinguished speakers from USA, UK, Australia, Thailand, israel, singapore, Egypt and India would present papers on aging skin changes, rejuvenation, face lifts, sclerotherapy for varicose veins, role of sun in aging, hair transplantation and liposuction.
For the first time, a public interactive forum has been arranged to promote education of public and to counter propaganda and misinformation which result from advertisements.
He said that this is the first Conference in India to receive acceditation from American Academy for Continuing Medical Education.
