In flurry of calls, Bush speaks to Hu, Putin

WASHINGTON, July 6 (Reuters) US President George W Bush today spoke by telephone with Chinese President Hu Jintao and Russian President Vladimir Putin, a US official said.

The topic was not immediately announced but was likely to have included ways to respond to North Korea's missile tests.

Bush spoke by telephone on Wednesday with Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi and South Korean President Roh Moo-hyun and stressed the need for a unified response in the United Nations to North Korea's missile launches.
