Hizbul ultra arrested, hideout busted in Jammu
Jammu, July 6 (UNI) The security forces, in a joint operation, arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen militant and recovered a huge quantity of explosive material at Thuroo Kund (Arnas area) under Reasi police station in Udhampur district.
Sources said the Hizbul militants were planning to get aluminium powder and mix it with potassium permanganate to make high quality explosive. The Counter Intelligence (CI) and Reasi police raided the spot yeterday and nabbed a militant, Qasim Ali, a resident of Morha Kund in Thuroo area of Arnas.
''About 30 kg potassium permanganate from the militant's possession which he had dumped at Thuroo Kund. The police team raided a hide-out of Wasim Ali at Thuroo Kund and recovered 77 packets of potassium permanganate, each weighing 400 grams, one Chinese hand grenade and five pistol rounds,'' the sources added.
In another incident, the troops recovered seven Chinese grenades, one Impproved Explosive Device (IED), one detonator and 80 AK rounds from a hideout at Bariana in Mahore.
