HC issue notice to ice cream parlour case accused
Kochi, July 6 (UNI) The Kerala High Court today issued notice to all the 16 accused in the ice cream parlour case on a petition, seeking to condone the delay in filing appeal against the judgement of the Principal Assistant Sessions Judge, Kozhikode.
The State Prosecutor submitted that the delay of 81 days happened due to the negligence of Special Prosecutor, who conducted the trial before the court.
When the delay condemnation petition came up for consideration before Justice K Hema, it was further submitted that the trial was a mockery and the ends of rule of law defeated as the Prosecutor himself helped the accused due to extraneous influence.
