Four killed in rain-related incidents in Gujarat
Anand, July 6 (UNI) Even as rain fury eased in several parts of Gujarat, four persons have reportedly been killed in rain-related incidents since last evening.
A mother-son duo met a watery grave when they fell into a ditch in Pump house area of Jamnagar city. Prabhadevi, aged 30, was trying to save her 10-year-old son, who first fell into the water-filled ditch, while playing. Another 16-year-old boy was killed, when he accidentally touched a live wire in Vadeli village of Anand district.
The fourth victim was Ashwin Gandhi, who died when a tree fell on him on the Ahmedabad-Memdabad highway last evening.
The Kheda district has recieved 652 mm rains and Anand 544 mm rains in the past 24 hours.
