ECB warns Northants for poor pitch quality
London, July 6 (UNI) The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has warned Northamptonshire for the ''poor'' quality of its Wantage Road pitch after a panel formed by it found the pitch to be heavily favourable to spinners.
The ECB panel investigated the track last week and concluded that the quality of the Wantage Road surface was ''poor'' for a Twenty20 game, a BBC Sport report said here.
The ECB said the club faces the prospect of losing a point or a chance of playing at home if another of their pitches is found to be poor in the next 12 months.
Former Team India captain Sourav Ganguly is on a six-week stint with the club.
