Corruption charges against Diggy

Bhopal, July 6 (UNI) Responding to corruption charges allegedly levelled by Chhattisgarh Revenue Board Chairman P Raghavan (IAS), AICC General Secretary Digvijay Singh has said Mr Raghavan should file an affidavit before the Lokayukta.

Mr Raghavan allegedly told a private TV channel in Raipur that large-scale corruption took place in purchase of State Road Transport Corporation buses while he was posted in undivided Madhya Pradesh. The bureaucrat also pointed fingers at the role of then chief minister Digvijay Singh.

''I am happy that Mr Raghavan's conscience has awakened after seven years. I will extend complete cooperation in the case,'' Mr Singh quipped in a release issued from his local office.
