Color Chips acquires Millitoon Animations

Mumbai, July 6 (UNI) Color Chips has acquired Chennai-based Millitoon Animations Pvt Ltd, it informed the BSE today.

Millitoon, a cent per cent subsidiary of European animation major Millimages, France, has produced 2,000 hours of popular animation content which was aired by major channels across Europe and the US.

The content produced by Millitoon includes popular series like 'Lazy Lucy', 'Paplo the Little Kid Fox' (winner of British Academy Film Television Award), '64 Zoo Lane', 'Ethel Bert' and others.

With this acquisition, Color Chips has achieved the status of being the largest producer of animation content in the country and is eyeing more such acquisitions in future, it added.
