CCEA approves expansion of Magadh Open Cast project of CCL
New Delhi, July 6 (UNI) The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs today sanctioned a capital investment of Rs 469.78 crore for expansion of Magadh Open Cast project of Central Coalfields Ltd in Jharkhand.
Briefing newsmen of the outcome of the meeting here, Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi said the project, to be set up in Chatra district, will entail a coal production capacity of 12 million tonnes per year.
The project will be implemented through capital outsourcing of both coal production and over burden removal.
The CCEA also gave its nod for floating and approval of tender for 20 million tonnes coal capacity for implementation through outsourcing of both coal production and over burden removal under the Emergency Coal Production Plan (CPP).
'Grade F quality of coal would be produced and supplied to the North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Station.
