Najaf (Iraq), July 6: A car bomb exploded today at a Shi'ite Muslim shrine near the holy city of Najaf, south of Baghdad, killing seven people, police said.
It was not how many other people were wounded in the explosion at Kufa, a religious centre on the outskirts of Najaf that is also the base for the radical Shi'ite cleric and militia leader Moqtada al-Sadr.
