Azad refuses comment on sex scandal
Srinagar, July 6 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad today refused to comment on the sex scandal in which two former Ministers and sitting legislators Ghulam Ahmed Mir and Raman Mattoo, senior IAS officer Mohammad Iqbal Khanday, BSF DIG K C Padhi and some top police officials have been arrested by the CBI so far.
''I will not comment on it....I will not answer any questions on it,'' Mr Azad said during a news conference here.
He refused to take any question on the sex scandal.
However, when persisted, the Chief Minister said immediately after the sex scandal surfaced in the Valley, the state government handed over the case to the CBI.
He said the role of the CBI in investigating the sex racket case should be appreciated.
Mr Azad said the Jammu and Kashmir High Court was also monitoring the investigations into the scandal.
