Action likely against those owning more than one Govt plot

Bangalore, July 6 (UNI) The Karnataka Government will freeze the sale and purchase of Government housing plots of persons holding more than one such plot in their name, Primary and Secondary Education Minister Basavaraj S Horatti informed the Legislative Council today.

Replying to a query raised by Mr 'Mukhya Mantri' Chandru (BJP), the Minister, speaking on behalf of the Chief Minister, said the Government would take steps to recover plots from those owning more than one Government housing plot as the law provided for one person to own only one such plot. Besides, action would be taken on those who had provided false affidavits for claiming Government plots.
