Two Ex-BLT cadre shot dead

Diphu, Jul 5 (UNI) Two Ex-Bodo Liberation Tiger (BLT) cadres were shot dead by some suspected NDFB militants at Longhing under Howrahghat Police station in Karbi Anglong district today.

Official sources here said five suspected NDFB militants entered a tea stall, where both the BLT cadres were sitting and opened fire on them from a close range.

Miscreants fled to safety after commiting the crime.

The victims were rushed to the nearby Naogaon Civil Hospital, where they were declared brought dead.

The deceased were identified as Thandru Basumatari and Vijay Basumatari, sources added.
