SW monsoon vigorous in Konkan, Goa Madhya Mah, Vidarbha,

Pune, July 5 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has been vigorous in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha and active in Gujarat region.

Heat wave conditions prevailed in west Rajasthan. In the regions where the southwest monsoon is yet to set in, day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Haryana and east Rajasthan. They were normal in Punjab.

Heavy to very heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Vidarbha, Marathwada, and Lakshadweep and at many places in west Madhya Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in east Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh and interior Karnataka and at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Andaman and Nicobar islands and at isolated places in Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rayalseema and Tamil Nadu.

Heavy rains have occurred at most places in Vidarbha, Marathwada and at many places in Sub-Himalayan, West Bengal and Sikkim, and at few places in Arunachal Pradesh. Very light rains have also occurred at isolated places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, east Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in coastal Karnataka and at many places in Gangetic West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, interior Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar islands and at a few places in Assam, Meghalaya, Orissa, Bihar, Jharkhand, Uttaranchal, Saurashtra, Kutch, Telangana and Lakshwadeep and at isolated places in Haryana and coastal Andhra Pradesh.
