Ruchira Papers to set up new manufacturing unit

New Delhi, July 5 (UNI) Ruchira Papers today announced setting up new plant with 33,000 TPA capacity at Sirmaur (Himachal Pradesh) for manufacturing writing and printing paper.

This expansion plan of the company will also include a 6 MW captive power co-generation plant and chemical recovery plant in order to enhance its production to meet the requirements of the industry at competitive rates.

The net profit of Ruchira Papers increased from Rs 75.67 lakh in 2003 to Rs 465.70 lakh in the financial year ending 2005-06, while its total turnover was doubled to Rs 6,261 lakh in same period.

The company at present manufactures Kraft liner paper, primarily used in the packaging industry for making corrugated boxes and for other packaging requirements.
