Rtd. DD Deputy Director General R C Bhusanurmath is dead
Bangalore, July 5 (UNI) Veteran freedom fighter, retired Deputy Director General of Doordarshan and well-known writer Dr R C Bhusanurmath died here today following a cardiac arrest.
He was 92. He leaves behind wife two sons and two daughters.
Born in 1917, Dr Bhusanurmath joined AIR in 1948 as a programme secretary and went on to become second in command of the state broadcaster. He had taken part in freedom struggle and also wrote a number of plays and poems. He had been honoured by Kannada Sahitya Parishat in recognition of his works.
In AIR he had worked in Panaji, Nagpur, Dharwad, Bangalore and DD headquarters Mandi House in New Delhi.
