RJD flays NDA govt for not providing proper treatment to Shahabuddin

Patna, Jul 5 (UNI) The RJD today criticised the NDA government for not providing 'good' treatment to its incarcerated party MP Mohammad Shahabuddin, saying he was being denied facilities as per the jail manual.

In a resolution adopted on the tenth foundation day of the party, the RJD demanded that Mohammad Shahabuddin be admitted to a top medical institute of the country for specialised treatment.

The party alleged that the SDPO had misbehaved with the RJP MP when a medical team visited the jail for Shahabuddin's medical check up. Doctors of the medical team had also substantiated the incident, the party claimed.

Shyam Sunder Singh Dheeraj, a senior RJD leader who placed the resolution, alleged that jail staff of the minority community had been withdrawn from the ward where the RJD MP had been lodged. He demanded action against the jail administration for the discrimination adopted in assigning the duties to the jail personnel.
