Rain stops play at Wimbledon
LONDON, July 5 (Reuters) Light rain forced the players off court at a muggy Wimbledon today shortly after the start of the men's quarter-finals.
Top seed Roger Federer was level at 2-2 with Croatia's Mario Ancic on Centre Court while Swede Jonas Bjorkman was 2-0 up against Czech Radek Stepanek on court one.
It was the first rain stoppage since the first Monday when less than an hour of play was possible.
The weather forecast was for thunderstorms and showers throughout the afternoon.
