Protests continue in Kashmir over killing of youth by CRPF

Srinagar, July 5 (UNI) Protests continued in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir's summer capital on the fifth consecutive day today over the killing of a young handicapped singer, allegedly by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, here on Saturday night.

People held protests and staged demonstrations against the killing of Inayatullah Bhat, a Kashmiri singer and the owner of Bakeway Bakery shop.

The mourners chanted pro-freedom and anti-security force slogans near the Ikhwan Hotel housing the CRPF's 46 battalion at Munawarabad and several other areas here.

The protestors demanded removal of the CRPF camp from the Ikhwan hotel and strong action against the personnel who allegedly gunned down Bhat. A complete shutdown was also observed in Munawarabad and some other places in protest against the killing.
