North Korea fired 6 missiles: US defense official
WASHINGTON, July 5 : North Korea test fired six missiles, including a long-range Taepodong-2 missile and five short-term missiles, a US Defense Department official told Reuters.
The White House had earlier told reporters that six missiles were launched and later said it was actually five. The defense official said the initial report that North Korea had fired six missiles was the correct number.
The White House said it was not aware of the sixth launch having been reconfirmed, but officials were checking.
